I was born in the luscious land of Connecticut then lived in 5 states by the time I was sixteen. I Ended up in Jersey and worked on my BA and my MA at New Jersey Universities. I lived in Abu Dhabi for a few years and traveled the world. After moving back to the states and then facing the loss of my sister there was some healing and new self discovering that took me on a whole new journey. It also helped realized I needed to heal from experiences in my childhood.
It was time for me to live my truth and begin my path of becoming an artist. I hope to create paintings and drawings that put people at ease or in wonder when they look at them.
My development in my artwork came through a very spiritual place.
By constantly creating, I am healing myself and living my dream. I hope to inspire others to do the same.
Currently, my full time job being a high school art teacher. I am enjoying the adventures of sparking creativity and planting seeds of positive vibes in each student.
I intend for my pieces to express magic as a reflection of the art of living life. This is just the beginning, I have so many works of art that are on my planning board.
Most of my canvases have spray painted backgrounds along with the use of an airbrush gun. I have also added in some acrylic paints for more intricate work and solidifying the components on the backgrounds. Most all of my pieces are mixed media.
I have branded a specific style of figures with a subtle color spectrum pattern on their bodies that represents the all the Chakra energies and the light resides within the human experience. I call them 'Beings of light"
I also have several drawings of them using color pencils and marker. Looking forward to exploring many more artworks incorporating my 'beings of light'.
My content of my work will be ever changing as I grow as an artist.
However, in the present times of which I am creating I am very inspired by nature, its patterns, my journey with yoga and mediation which leads into my enchantment with symbolism from ancient cultures.
I have always been fascinated with the beauty that flowers posses and their variations of shapes, colors and even healing powers.
I have several social political graffiti pieces I will be completing in the near future which will add more of a street art style to my gallery.
